resistivityIn physics, a measure of the ability of a material to resist the flow of an electric current. It is numerically equal to the resistance of a sample of unit length and unit cross-sectional area, and its unit is the ohm metre (symbol Ωm). A good conductor has a low resistivity (1.7 × 10−8 Ωm for copper); an insulator has a very high resistivity (1015 Ωm for polyethane). How to thank TFD for its existence?
