rough collie

Breed of herding dog originating in Scotland. It has a long, thick coat which may be sable, blue merle, or tri-coloured, all with white markings. Its head is narrow, with a pointed muzzle and pricked ears that fold down at the tips. Of slender build, it grows to about 62 cm/24 in. The smooth collie is identical, except that its coat is short.
