English invasions of Scotland 1543-1549 in a vain attempt to enforce the Treaty of Greenwich 1543. Henry VIII sent Edward Seymour, Earl of Hertford, to harry the Scottish borders. Seymour extended the policy while Lord Protector for the underage Edward VI and established English garrisons in Scotland.
