sawfishAny fish of the order Pristiformes of large, sharklike rays, characterized by a flat, sawlike snout edged with teeth. The common sawfish Pristis pectinatus, also called the smalltooth, is more than 6 m/19 ft long. It has some 24 teeth along an elongated snout (2 m/6 ft) that can be used as a weapon.
