plotter) A flatbed plotter, which may be used to produce plans, graphs, and other drawings. The moving arm, holding a pen of the appropriate colour, travels over the surface of the paper. Device that draws pictures or diagrams under computer control. Plotters are often used for producing business charts, architectural plans, and engineering drawings.
