sea slugAny of an order (Nudibranchia) of marine gastropod molluscs in which the shell is reduced or absent. The order includes some very colourful forms, especially in the tropics. They are largely carnivorous, feeding on hydroids and sponges. Most are under 2.5 cm/1 in long, and live on the sea bottom or on vegetation, although some live in open waters. Tentacles on the back help take in oxygen. How to thank TFD for its existence?
