Opera by Wolf-Ferrari (libretto by E Golisciani), produced (in German translation) at the Court Opera in Munich, by Max Kalbeck, on 4 December 1909. In the story, Susanna is a secret smoker and her jealous husband, Count Gil, suspects she has been harbouring a lover because of her mysterious disappearances (to the tobacconist's).
