site

In archaeology, any location where there is evidence for past human behaviour. A site can be as small as an isolated find, which is either a single artefact or a small number of artefacts, or as large as an ancient city. Sites are classified according to function: major types include domestic/habitation sites, kill sites, and processing/butchering sites.

site

Location at which computers are used. If a company uses only IBM computers, for example, it is known as an IBM site. The term is also used for a computer that acts as a server for files that can be accessed via the World Wide Web, also called a Web site.
