snapper![]() Snapper fish are found in abundance throughout the tropics, such as this one in the Tuamotu Islands of French Polynesia. They are carnivorous, preying on other fish and crustaceans. Amongst the better known of the many different species of snapper are the emperor snapper, grey or mangrove, yellowtail, and the red snapper.
