Stamps

City in southwestern Arkansas, 53 km/33 mi southeast of Texarkana, in the Red River bottomlands; population (1990) 2,500. It is situated in a cotton, timber, and oil-producing region, and is noted as the childhood home of the US writer Maya Angelou.
