stonechat

Small insectivorous thrush Saxicola torquata, family Muscicapidae, order Passeriformes, frequently found in Eurasia and Africa on open land with bushes. The male has a black head and throat, tawny breast, and dark back; the female is browner. It is about 13 cm/5 in long.
