telemarketing

Direct marketing using the telephone to contact and market to potential customers. Double glazing, timeshare holidays, and weatherproofing are all examples of products that frequently use telemarketing as a marketing tactic. Unfortunately telemarketing has developed a reputation similar to junk-mail, which limits its effectiveness.
