Telnet

In computing, Internet utility that enables a user to work on a remote computer as if directly connected. Telnet connections to a remote computer system are typically much cheaper than long-distance telephone calls; the user makes a local call to an Internet access provider and the rest of the connection is handled via the Internet at no additional cost.
