ten bagger

In finance, a share that increases in value ten-fold, that is 1000%, in a very short period of time. Chiefly associated with Internet stocks, the term has been attributed to Peter Lynch, author of One Up On Wall Street (1989). The term was taken from baseball jargon, where it signifies two home runs and a double.
