Alternate ways of defining the oscillation (one complete swing) of a pendulum.

One complete to-and-fro movement of a vibrating object or system. For any particular vibration, the time for one oscillation is called its period and the number of oscillations in one second is called its frequency. The maximum displacement of the vibrating object from its rest position is called the amplitude of the oscillation.
