vina

Indian plucked string instrument in a variety of forms, including the sitar, combining features of a zither and lute and consisting of a fretted or unfretted fingerboard overlaying dual resonant chambers. It has sympathetic strings, giving a shimmering tone.

Zazi, an Afghan national who has lived in the US for 17 years, is said to have flown to Pakistan's North Western Province in August last year to gather information on bomb-making along with Vinas.
Earlier, US informant Bryant Vinas, who had confessed to plotting against the Long Island Rail Road earlier this year, reportedly provided important information concerning Rauf that led authorities to believe he is still alive and plotting terror.
This week, a New York court unsealed a confession made in January by a Long Island man, Bryant Vinas, who says he joined Al-Qaeda to attack US forces in Afghanistan and had plotted to attack a New York commuter train.
