Ware

Town in the county of Hertfordshire, England, on the River Lea, 3 km/2 mi northeast of Hertford; population (2001) 17,150. Industries include pharmaceuticals, malting, engineering, the manufacture of plastics and stationery, and glovemaking.

The Great Bed of Ware, a piece of medieval furniture formerly at the Saracen's Head public house, is now in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
