wartProtuberance composed of a local overgrowth of skin. The common wart (Verruca vulgaris) is due to a virus infection. It usually disappears spontaneously within two years, but can be treated with peeling applications, burning away (cautery), freezing (cryosurgery), or laser treatment. |
