woodswallow

Insectivorous bird, genus Artamus, family Artamidae, order Passeriformes, indigenous to Australia, India, and Polynesia. It has a long, slightly curved, and sharply pointed bill, long wings, and short tail. Their general colour is black, blue, and reddish above, and white beneath. They are swift in flight and catch insects on the wing.
