woodworking joint

Fixing used to fit together pieces of timber. The simplest is a butt joint. Other woodworking joints involve one piece of timber fitting into a hole inside another piece of timber. Woodworking joints include dowelled joints, housing joints, mortise and tenon joints, dovetail joints, and tongue and groove joints. Not only do the materials slot together, they can also be glued and screwed to give extra strength.
