zeugma

Figure of speech in which an adjective or verb is applied to two nouns where it is grammatically or logically applicable to only one (‘See Pan with flocks, with fruits Pomona crowned’ - Pan is not crowned with flocks), or where the sense is different with each but the result is grammatically correct (‘She left in a huff and a taxi.’) The latter device, also called syllepsis, is often used in literature.
